Newell Brands

Top American manufacturer, marketer and distributor of consumer and commercial products (Elmer’s Glue, Mr.Coffee, etc).

Senior Designer – 8 mo

At Newell Brands, a global consumer goods company, I served as Senior Designer, contributing to a wide range of visual and strategic initiatives across multiple household-name brands including Elmer’s Glue, Ball, Rubbermaid, Calphalon, Crock-Pot, Mr. Coffee, and more. In just eight months, I made a measurable creative impact—leading the redesign of Newell’s core internal presentation and establishing a refreshed visual standard for internal and external communications.

My role spanned from high-impact branding efforts to day-to-day digital asset creation. I developed cohesive, on-brand content for major eCommerce platforms like Amazon, Target, and Walmart—designing layouts, assembling product imagery, and building 3D renders to elevate product storytelling and drive engagement. I also created dynamic video and motion graphics for social media campaigns, amplifying brand presence across platforms.

Collaboration was central to my work. I partnered closely with brand directors to conceptualize and execute creative solutions that aligned with business goals. I maintained and organized our design assets through Newell’s eCommerce SharePoint system, ensuring consistency, version control, and accessibility across teams. This role allowed me to act as both a creative lead and cross-functional collaborator, merging design thinking with strategic execution in a fast-paced, multi-brand environment.

Working alongside the internal creative team, I helped create presentations that not only showcased complex financial data but also kept things fresh and visually appealing.

The role demanded a lot of quick thinking, whether it was prototyping new ideas on the fly or creating mock-ups under tight deadlines. I was also tasked with providing on-site audiovisual support for roadshows and corporate events, where everything had to go off without a hitch. It was a lot of pressure, but I thrived in making sure the technical side of things ran smoothly while still keeping the design sharp.

Along the way, I got the chance to mentor new hires, helping them adjust to the fast-paced environment and teaching them how to juggle creativity with the demands of the finance world. This experience really taught me how to stay agile and maintain my creativity, even when working under pressure and tight deadlines. It was an intense but incredibly rewarding experience that pushed me to grow both creatively and professionally.
